{"id":642,"date":"2011-11-04T23:17:23","date_gmt":"2011-11-05T03:17:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hamiltonartist.com\/blog\/?p=642"},"modified":"2011-11-04T23:17:23","modified_gmt":"2011-11-05T03:17:23","slug":"rushing-back-to-lennie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hamiltonartist.com\/blog\/?p=642","title":{"rendered":"RUSHING BACK TO LENNIE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It is Friday night as I sit here crying. \u00a0I have a flight booked back to Honolulu for tomorrow morning.<\/p>\n<p>Lennie was rushed into hospital a few hours ago with a perforated bowel. \u00a0The cancer has spread and his vital signs are not good due to the fecal matter that is seeping into his system. \u00a0The doctors believe that he will not survive the surgery and that even if he does, he will remain in ICU for maybe 3 weeks, full of tubes and die there. \u00a0The decision has been made to not try for the difficult surgery and instead make him comfortable. \u00a0He is not expected to live through the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Dear God,<\/p>\n<p>Please let me make it back to Lennie one more time. \u00a0I have loved him so much and my heart is breaking that I may not kiss his lips just one more time.<\/p>\n<p><em>Kathryn<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is Friday night as I sit here crying. \u00a0I have a flight booked back to Honolulu for tomorrow morning.
